Bio/Description

He writes and teaches on political theory, ethics, public policy, and law, with a focus on liberalism, democracy and citizenship, diversity and civic education, religion and politics, and the family and sexuality. His current research concerns immigration and social justice, constitutional democracy in the U.S., and democracy and international institutions. Among Macedo's numerous publications, his coauthored books include American Constitutional Interpretation (2008), and Democracy at Risk: How Political Choices Undermine Citizen Participation, and What We Can Do About It (2005). Ph.D. Princeton University.
