Bio/Description
His philosophical and teaching interests focus on international political theory, democratic theory, the theory of human rights, and legal theory. Beitz's book, The Idea of Human Rights, was published in 2009. Other publications include Political Theory and International Relations (1999) and Political Equality: An Essay in Democratic Theory (1990) as well as articles on a variety of topics in political philosophy. His current work includes projects on the philosophy of human rights and the theory of intellectual property. Ph.D. Princeton University.
